"I first met Julie in August 2021. I was a 32 year old with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and carrying over 50 lbs. of excess weight. My doctors were on the verge of putting me on meds to help with my blood pressure and cholesterol and insisted that I lose weight. What they didn't know was that I had been trying. I was running on a treadmill 3-5 days a week, trying to eat healthy by cutting carbs and sugars from my diet, and I even took a blood test to see which foods I was sensitive to because everything I was doing just resulted in more weight gain. I finally threw in the towel and decided to find someone who could help me. I needed guidance from someone who could steer me towards genuine and sustainable health.

"I have NEVER been skinny, and for the most part, was okay with what I was. However, my 50s have brought a few challenges and events that have been a wake-up call regarding my health and quality of life. I felt like I had a window of opportunity that was closing quickly to get healthier. I was tired of trying all the diets and rationalizing the comfort that I thought I got from poor food choices and inactivity. I was tired of getting to the top of the stairs breathing heavily. I had to introduce medications into my life to regulate blood pressure, hypothyroidism, and anxiety. The medications, although necessary, created other symptoms and issues that I now have to find a way to deal with. Looking back, I realized the power food had over me and still does at times. I was not sure what to expect, but Julie made things so easy for me. She did not throw everything at me at once. She knows her nutrition, and she knows how the body uses food. I am not eating crazy things nor starving myself, and rarely feel hungry when I follow her plan. I am only at the beginning of my journey, but I have already faced up to some of the things that were holding me back and I am learning how to change my course. I am learning how to change my mind...changes to my body will follow. Success for me, is that I will be able to do all of this on my own at some point and create a lifestyle of healthy choices and balance.  This is the way Julie runs her program."
